Interview with Anderson Silva’s Manager Ed Soares

As one of the more powerful individuals in MMA, Team Nogueira manager Ed Soares is a interesting dude. Originally from Cali, homie was hustling in the fashion game, working as an executive at Von Dutch before deciding to manage fighters. Among the revelations in this interview is the fact that he personally designed Chuck Liddell’s trademark shorts after convincing “The Iceman” that he needed to step up his branding. Good call.

Kind of reminiscent of that figure from Empire Strikes Back.

The Work of Street Artist, Specter

A little while back, I posted a picture of a mural I saw painted on a wooden wall in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. Turns out the piece was made by renowned street artist, Specter. This month, London’s Pure Evil Gallery is exhibiting his collection to mark his official UK debut. While explaining his work, the artist said, “I basically close my eyes and these images are what appears.”
