As one of the more powerful individuals in MMA, Team Nogueira manager Ed Soares is a interesting dude. Originally from Cali, homie was hustling in the fashion game, working as an executive at Von Dutch before deciding to manage fighters. Among the revelations in this interview is the fact that he personally designed Chuck Liddell’s trademark shorts after convincing “The Iceman” that he needed to step up his branding. Good call.

The Submarine Channel sat down with OG photographer Martha Cooper to discuss some her early work covering the NYC graffiti scene in the 70′s and 80′s. Salute.
Boston architect firm, Choi + Shine took electrical pole design to a new level with these giant figures. Even sicker, they’re flexible based on the environmental shifts. For example, when the electrical lines ascend a hill, the figures imitate a climbing person and expand to increased height over long distances. Kind of reminiscent of that figure from Empire Strikes Back.

A seven year cluster-fuck mistake finally comes to an end. The long-term repercussions will only now begin to be felt. Thanks, Bush.

A little while back, I posted a picture of a mural I saw painted on a wooden wall in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. Turns out the piece was made by renowned street artist, Specter. This month, London’s Pure Evil Gallery is exhibiting his collection to mark his official UK debut. While explaining his work, the artist said, “I basically close my eyes and these images are what appears.”
